The Memory
I remember seeing the Goodyear Blimp as a child. It floated over so quietly that all I could hear was the faint hum in the sky. It felt mysterious and wonderful — so large, so graceful, and yet it seemed to hover effortlessly. I wanted to run after it and follow where it was going. My heart was full of fascination and joy. But then, when it drifted beyond the horizon, I felt such disappointment. I wanted it to stay in sight forever.
The Scripture
📖 “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” — Colossians 3:1–2 ✨
The Reflection
That moment reminds me of how fleeting earthly sights can be. Even the most fantastic things we see eventually pass from view. But God calls me to fix my eyes on something greater — not on what disappears, but on what is eternal. Unlike the blimp that vanished, His presence never fades. The wonder I felt as a child chasing the sky is the wonder I can feel even more deeply now as I lift my heart toward Him.
